Sponsorship

Hole Sponsor:

An individual or a business can purchase hole sponsorships starting at $125 each. A sign designating sponsorship will be placed on the tee each hole sponsored. More than one sponsor may be displayed on a hole. Hole sponsorships are tax-deductible. Individuals, and businesses will receive contribution letters from the church.

Prize Donation:

This year we are also seeking donations in the form of prizes. We are looking for items to give away for the winner of various on-course competitions and raffle prizes. If you or your business have items, gift cards, etc (does not have to be golf related) that would make good prizes, please consider donating in that way!

Join Us in 2023!

Below are some of the new features we introduced last year that we will once again incorporate into the tournament for 2023:

Flighting of Teams / Scoring

We are creating flights for all of the registered teams. This means you will be placed into a Flight of teams of similar abilities.

You will only play against teams within your Flight, not all of the teams in the tournament. Further, there will be no adjusted NET scoring in this year’s tournament, all scores will be GROSS scores within your Flight.

Each Flight will have 1st and 2nd Place Winners (GROSS only). There will be a maximum of 6 teams within a Flight.

Hole Prizes

Our goal this year is to have at least one prize awarded for every hole on the course. These hole prizes will be awarded for one of the following on a specific hole:

  • Closest to the Pin
  • Longest Drive
  • Closest to the Pin in 2
  • Longest Putt Made
  • Furthest from the Hole (but on the green)
  • more to come!

We will have designated contest on each hole and many contests will be limited to players within a certain flight!

The “TBC Package”

Instead of mulligans in this year’s tournament, we are creating a package for our players that will include the following:

One Red Tee: tee off from the red tees on any one hole of your choice. Ladies will receive an additional Red tee opportunity (mulligan).

Putting Contest Entry: Entry into our Putting Contest during the tournament. Prizes awarded!

Raffle Prize: Be entered into our Raffle Prize drawing (no golf skill required!)

Purchase your “TBC Package” in the online registration or the day of the event.

Who does the ROC ‘n Golf Tournament Benefit?

Meet our Beneficiary – BackPack Buddies

BackPack Buddies is a program that runs in several U.S. cities and seeks to provide children from food-insecure homes with healthy weekend meals during the school year. The children are identified by school officials, then receive a backpack containing six well-balanced meals along with two healthy snacks at the end of every week.

All food is non-perishable. The food is placed in a backpack, so the need is less noticeable to other children. According to Feeding America’s “Map the Meal Gap 2020” report, North Carolina has approximately 19.3% food insecure children (443,040 children). The latest school year statistics shared from 2018-19, showed over 2,300 children were served, each week, across 72 schools in our area. This was a total of 80,000 backpacks full of food delivered to schools for children to take home.
